As a member of the Grenadier Guards, Caine was entitled to get married in the Guards’ Chapel, a few hundred yards down Birdcage Walk from Buckingham Palace. He and his bride Harriet became husband and wife in a service that blended dignity, glorious music and wry humour.

After family photos on the steps of the Chapel, I was delighted to photograph Harriet and Caine in front of the headquarters of the British Army’s Household Division. Its white stucco facade was the ideal backdrop for my fine art style.
